Thank you to Jeanne and Khalid (Youssef's parents) who spent the entire day cooking with room 21 students. It was an amazing experiential learning hands-on activities associated with food preparation involving handling food and cooking equipment. Some of us learnt how to peel an onion for the first time.
Each child has a task to complete to contribute to the meal preparation and cleanup, teaching them responsibility.
We made some delicious Tagine Meatballs, Vegetarian Tagine and Couscous. The meatballs turned out as soft as snowballs.
